Description:

The main objective of the workshop is to establish regional climate modeling capacity in the West Africa using the ICTP Regional Climate Model (RegCM3). A key focus of the workshop is to promote interdisciplinary and integrated research collaboration between scientists in the region in the fields of regional climate and impacts. This community will form the basis of an African regional climate research network aimed at developing and carrying out relevant research projects. The Workshop will also address infrastructural problems faced by West African scientists and opportunities for further collaborative research.
