Description:
How does function in neural networks emerge during the development of an animal?
We are conducting a two-week teaching workshop that will bring to physicists, mathematicians, chemists and biologists, the computational and experimental tools of developmental neurobiology. This will allow participants to learn each other's language while addressing common problems and thereby encourage novel approaches.
TOPICS include:
- Introduction to genetics, cell biology, developmental biology
and neurophysiology.
- Genomes and genomics
- Networks of gene activities and signaling pathways
- Nervous system development and function
- Neural basis of behaviour
